Last week I have visited MIST Pub and I wasn’t disappointed at all. It is a great mid-size pub located between 4th and 5th circle and is kind of a hidden gem. MIST Restaurant and Pub describe themselves as a non-conventional English/Irish-like Gastropub with a new concept to break up the monotony of traditional bars and eateries in the city, with a main focus on serving premium international cuisine and thirst-quenching cocktails starting lunchtime and until midnight.
I visited the first time during a weekday. It was not too busy but a had a nice atmosphere to it. It is a relaxed place to hang out with friends, have some after-work drinks or get a bite. The music was a good mix too. They have Amstel on draft and Carakale and other international choices in bottles. The drink menu is very diverse and includes Wine, Whiskey and Cocktails as well.
The main surprise to me, however was the food. I tried the vegetarian stuffed mushrooms and they were just amazing. There is a lot of healthy snacks/appetizers, grilled meat, seafood, pasta but also sandwiches, salads or sliders. The Salmon roles were also very yummy and we had beef steaks with a very delicious marinate. All food I had, tasted excellent. MIST is definitively an option I can recommend, even  if you just want to have a nice dinner.
During the weekend you better reserve a table upfront as MIST gets busy, be it because of live jazz or rock bands, or DJs bringing you a mix of English and Arabic music from different genres.  Another great concept that MIST is offering, beside their 50% Hungry and Happy hour daily from 12-7 pm on food and drinks, is All you can drink every Saturday and Monday. You can choose between “Daytime Tippler” (12-8pm) for JOD 22 or “Nighttime Boozer” (8pm-12am) for JOD 30. The women might opt for “Elegant Lady” (All day) (excludes whiskey and vodka) for 18 JOD. Grab yourself a nice chair on the veranda and gaze out of the window, while sipping the drink of your choice. All in all, the location, the food, the atmosphere and the offers on drinks, make it worth listing MIST on the list of places to go to.
