Staycation at Amman Rotana Hotel

Arrival and Check-In to Amman Rotana For Valentine's Day, we decided for a stay-cation at Amman Rotana at the Boulevard in Abdali. It was the first time for us to stay in a hotel in Amman since we live here and only stayed in hotels at the Dead Sea or Aqaba before. However, we wanted …

Today we are outside enjoying the sun rays. Lovely weather and perfect after a boring lockdown day inside. Looking forward to the next week's of greenery.
Went cycling today at the Dead Sea. Lovely weather for a nice trip alp g the sea. We went from Chili's near the checkpoint to the Panorama intersection and back. Good exercise. Way back was harder though as more uphill and against the wind. Thanks to @cyclingjordan for the bike maintenance
There are so many Arabic sweets and if you come ever to this region you should try them. Maybe some of them will be to sweet for you. Anyways, my favorite are Baklawa, Warabat and Kunafeh. The sweets in the picture are Basbousa or Herissa if I'm not mistaken. But they are also yummy. Found at @sufarabakery
We had a blast yesterday morning. Had a walk and built a snowman. The kids enjoyed their first snow experience of their life. Who would have guessed it will be in Jordan. Hope u enjoyed the day off.
It snowed today. So what?! I would usually say. For my audience outside of Jordan: obviously it doesn't happen so often. Secondly it was quite a lot in a short time with a nasty cold wind. Since Jordan is not super well equipped for these occasional events of heavy snow fall, the government announced pretty much a public holiday. All institutions are closed. So on the bright side it means, I have a day off, as I have to take care of the kids. And of course, have to build a snowman.
Some impressions from the Cafe at @kawon_official bookstore. We had a stopover coffee break on our bike ride from Amman over Madaba to the Dead Sea. The bookstore is fantastic. And the Cafe and garden are very relaxed. Check it out.
This is another great mural that was created during this year's @baladk project. You can find it in Sweifieh. This knight fighting against the trash is just one of the many artworks contributed to this year's topic Environment is your home.
If you live in Amman or have been here a few times, I'm sure you came across this monster truck. If u leave the city u know you have to watch your speed due to the traffic cam next to it. Anyway, we started our cycling ride today towards Madaba and then continued down to the Dead Sea. An amazing experience. Tough, but awesome ride.
Today we cycled from Amman to Madaba, had a coffee @kawon_official, a nice relaxed boomshop and Cafe. We then continued towards Ayn Aldeeb and made our descent to the Dead Sea. What am awesome ride.
